The Clarity facial is a popular treatment aimed at reducing acne and improving skin texture and tone. Here you will find the benefits of the Clarity facial, the ingredients used in the treatment, how the procedure is carried out, and what you can expect from the Clarity facial.
The Clarity facial is a skincare treatment specifically designed for individuals with acne-prone skin. It was developed by Medik8, a brand known for its scientifically formulated products targeting skin improvement. The Clarity facial is designed to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin while reducing acne and impurities.
What can I expect from the facial?
We always start the treatment with a double cleansing. After an intensive cleanse, we apply the Super Facial Peel. This enzyme peel, based on papaya enzymes, might cause a slight tingling sensation. The powerful action helps shed dead skin cells, prepping the skin to remove all impurities. Inflammations are addressed using a sterile needle and alcohol. For an extra deep cleanse, we use Medik8's Clay Mask. This clay mask penetrates deep into the pores, calming and purifying the skin. We always conclude the treatment with proper advice and the right daily skincare.
Benefits of the Clarity facial
One of the key benefits of the Clarity facial is its role in reducing acne and impurities. This is achieved through ingredients that deeply cleanse pores and remove excess oil and dirt. The treatment also helps regulate sebum production, which contributes to preventing future breakouts.
Another advantage of the Clarity facial is its improvement of skin texture and tone. By eliminating dead skin cells and promoting cell renewal, the skin becomes smoother and more even. The treatment also aids in reducing redness and inflammation, resulting in a brighter and healthier complexion.
Ingredients in the Clarity facial
The Clarity facial utilizes several active ingredients that focus on improving skin health and reducing acne and impurities. Here is a list of the key ingredients used in the treatment:
The Clarity facial is an acne treatment and may qualify for reimbursement through your supplementary health insurance.
How does acne develop?
Nearly everyone experiences acne during puberty. Some individuals struggle with it more or for a longer period than others. The exact reasons are not fully understood. Causes of acne include hormonal changes, bacteria, certain medications, stress, contact with specific substances (including cosmetics), lack of sunlight and thus vitamin D3, and heredity. Diet can also play a role in the development of acne.
The main culprits are lactose (milk), pork, sugars, and burned fats. These can intensify the effects of certain hormones, particularly in combination with hormonal changes, resulting in excessive sebum production. This leads to clogged pores, which in turn create a breeding ground for bacteria (which are always present). If the immune system is compromised, for instance due to an excess of sugars/carbohydrates, an outbreak typically occurs.
Will my health insurance cover the acne treatment?
Whether the acne treatment is covered depends on your health insurance policy. Our salon is affiliated with ANBOS and specializes in acne treatments for both youth and adults. After the treatment, you will receive an invoice from us that you can submit to your health insurance provider. However, it's recommended to check with your health insurance beforehand to see if you qualify or view the 2023 coverage here.
